Fredo's Page is 'Broken' ...

... and other stuff.

Fredo's page is broken. I read that he contacted Eddie, but I did too. I found another page that I could not comment on, but for the life of me I don't remember whose page it was!

I have been super sick these past few days. As I mentioned in my last post, I don't know if it is allergies to the oak pollen, mold contamination or a combination of the the two, but it triggered an asthma attack from hell. For days I could not breathe- I wheezed. I could not breathe well enough to accomplish even light tasks and my chest and stomach muscles hurt from coughing.

Truthfully, I think it was the dang mold again. I found some black mold on my back porch last Friday and cleaned it up. While I was cleaning the mold, it occured to me that I should be wearing a mask because I am so darn sensitive to it, but I rationalized that, "it just this surface right here...and this other little area...and I am using bleach...I am almost done." I somehow convinced myself that I could clean mold without protection! What is wrong with me? Black mold is so dangerous that professionals wear hazmat suits to clean it up.

There are two spots in my house where black mold is an issue. The first is my porch- and that is very common in Florida. It is why I clean my porch with bleach every spring (hmm..I don't think I did last year, which is likely why I found so much). The second is by my side door in the garage. It is poorly designed and water leaks in. I think this last episode has convinced me that I need to have a professional come in and replace the frame and seal in the garage door. I never want to be this sick again! It was downright scary.

Oh, the 'silver lining'... I have been dieting and walking because I need to lose weight. While I was sick I could not walk- you have to be able to breathe to walk- but I continued to lose weight anyway. I did not have any appetite and ate mostly soup. It is nice to see the scale finally drop down.

I worry about being in my basement for extended times, being it's pretty damp down there. But so far, no problems. I grew up with bad allergies. I think my immunity system has conquered the little buggers. I have fewer reactions every year (esp. Spring). Hope you conquer your problems. And I'm thrilled to read about your success in the weight department!!

Heal fast, Dottie, and please get rid of that mold with a pro — it's very dangerous.
Good to hear Fredo is back in business!

Fredo's blog is working now. Be careful around that mold. I have been
wheezing from the tree pollen. Hope you are much better now.

I noticed a while back that I couldn't comment on Fredo's page.
