Cozumel Was Beautiful!

Me and my friend, Kay, atop a small seaside ruin

An unedited photo of the Cozumel beaches. Just to pretty to alter!

With my girlfriends and Kay's 16 year old grandson. What a cutie, and such a pleasant young man.

Four days at sea did me a world of good! I came home feeling relaxed, so relaxed in fact, that I said 'f---' it to all of the work I had to do on the newsletters and spent the day painting instead. Now, that really felt good!
The cruise: the food was delicious and there was always something to entertain us. Cozumel is gorgeous!
Tip to anyone going on a cruise: that "inch of gold" is really electroplated- not what they tell you before you buy, but is in the fine print when you pick up the jewelry. Art sales: they actually dare call a Giclee an original! (And I have heard and read horror stories about their prices. $30,000 for a Peter Max print is NOT a deal! You can buy a signed print for 1/10th that amount on ebay! Keep your money in your wallet and enjoy all of the luxuries of the cruise with no regrets.
Did I have a great time? You bet! Want to go again. There is always next year and a different destination.

"They are presenting Coast Guard art to celebrate the 200 year bonds between Flushing, NY and Flushing in the Netherlands" great thing. When I am able i will surely visit it. You know Flushing is english for Vlissingen, btw?

Sure! We are planning a ladies only trip for later next year. Don't see how we will truly end up 'ladies only', but it's a thought. It would be so much fun, and not counting air fare, will be in the $350 pp range.

I so love the ocean and being rocked to sleep at night. Can't wait to go myself. Ted came down with the flu but I started cipro and am calling his doctor today and keeping him in bed. He has to be well by Saturday morning.

So great that you got to get away. I so love your art. I will be in SF from Christmas day until the end of January and I am sure there is time to purchase some items and have them shipped to my SF address.
