Now, that sounds like a real nice "make me warm and keep me warm" soup for the winter. I love bean soup so I know I would appreciate such a gift. If others don't, then they're the ones missing out on a good thing.

That looks soooo yummy! I might try it! (My mom makes an "easy and quick" banana pudding that can be "tweaked" to taste the way you like it. It works when time is a factor and it really is good when it's served nice and cold from the fridge, with or without whipped cream...I, of course, like it with the whipped cream. Just line a large, rectangular glass baking dish or square one if you want less with graham cracker squares... break each large piece from the package in half. Top the crackers with "wheel" slices of bananas and top that with pudding...either instant or "to cook" from a package or a quick one of your own that you like...make it vanilla, but add banana extract to taste, if you like. Some people will use banana pudding, but for those who don't want the "too strong, too much banana" taste, regular vanilla pudding with or without some banana extract will be just perfect. Top pudding with more "wheel" slices of bananas. Sprinkle or brush just a bit of lemon juice or orange juice to help keep the bananas from turning black. Chill, preferably no less than an hour, before serving. Serve in "squares", plain or topped with whipped cream. Note: I know for a nicer dessert look and treat, bananas and pudding can be alternately layered. This is a much better-tasting and eye-appealing way of serving/having the same dessert.)

Nope, not for me. Hey, I'm not totally against anime...I've liked some anime videos I've watched on YouTube! But I can't see me sitting through an entire movie...not even a 15 minute one. Sorry.

You know, I'm thinking that I might start doing this...the I Love You's, I'm Sorry's, Forgive Me's, and Thank You's. It's so much like what I did when I confronted someone (which was the same as confronting the "someTHING") that worked so well in bringing about a peace in both of us and, then, somehow the world and life seemed a lot better. This is a little different, I know, but it's worth a try, right?

It was expected, so I'm not surprised at all. I'm not really surprised by the others on the list, either...their being there and the order they came in.

You're my kind of cook! Perfect recipe idea and I intend to use it! (Crunchy chow mein noodles will work good in it if you remove it from the heat and let it cool a "tad" before stirring in the noodles. I know this from a candy recipe that I love. I believe any cold cereal...Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Cheerios, etc. might work, too, when not too hot so as to make them completely soggy.)

This is a very nice post. I seem to be very receptive to it today, too, so I enjoyed it very much.

Very cute and different. I like the shrug idea...must be easier to get the little arms in and out of it.

Just think, Martin, no matter how long it lasts, it is only temporary. Hopefully your 80's will be back soon.

I think the non-profits' shares are too high. Sure, they deserve to get a cut for all the obvious reasons and arguments they present, but think of where the play came from BEFORE they had anything to do with it. And, as pointed out by Richard Nelson, the success of a play does just as much for the theater as the theater does for the play. So, the rates (meaning the scale) need to be adjusted...I dunno, would 50/50 make everybody happy? If it can't be, then don't make the difference between the two rates as large as it is...compromise and get more of what is fair.

I'm hoping the movie will play here and I think it might. I really will want to see it. Your post raises some interesting points about the "story" surrounding the movie, it's release, and it's potential influence.
