The times, they are achangin'!! It seems the weather gets stranger and stranger every year. And for some reason, it seems like the weirdness has chosen me to follow.
2004 - moved to Florida....the area we were in was hit by Hurricane Charley....first real hurricane in that part of the state since the early 60's. And Florida got hit by 4 pretty good sized hurricanes that year. Then of course 2005 - LOTS of hurricanes.....several crossing over Florida.
Last year, we were in eastern Oklahoma (Pryor/Claremore area) when they were hit with record snowstorms.....6 inches of snow, followed a few days later by 10 inches more and then another couple batches after that. All in all, something like over 20" of snow. Life as we all know it had come to a halt. That part of Oklahoma is just not prepared to deal with that kind of snow. Iowa - where I lived most of my life, would have just scooped it up out of the way and life would go on.
Now, we're in west Texas. We had snow on Christmas eve....so had a pretty little White Christmas. My family in Iowa had NONE! Yesterday, we had about 10" of snow here (still in West Texas) and the temps were in the low 30's. Again, family and friends in Iowa and Minnesota are enjoying snow-free days, and temps in the 50's.
So what's the deal? And why is this weird weather following me?
LMAO!
