Now, think twice about that old freezer big enough to hold a couple adult bodies....you might need it someday....to put a couple adult bodies into!!! LOL I have a tub plus full of collectible Amoco stuff...would like to find a buyer for it...hate to have it just sitting around and I know I won't ever do anything with it again (used to be displayed at my work place when I worked for Amoco). Too good, and spent too much money on it to throw it away....I'll find the right buyer sometime. (Please don't say 'eBay' - I've had some bad experiences there and won't be back)
Sounds like a great time....and like you, I wonder so often what some parents are thinking......but then again, maybe the kids are going to their friends' house to change. But, most of the time, they DO walk out of their own house that way. Big (SIGH!)
Ack! I don't know where I'm from....born in Calgary, Alberta Canada....lived most of my life in IOWA (NO! NOT the potato state- that's Idaho.) Then four years in Florida and now in Misery....um, Missouri......I do love it here, just love to have fun with the name. You know, this is the SHOW ME state, but somehow, I don't think they'll be laughin' if I really do "show them......" or then again...maybe it will be the best laugh of their lives....better keep myself undercover for a bit longer! Oh my, that picture made me laugh so hard....good thing I hadn't just taken a sip of my coffee or I'd be wiping it off my computer right now! It reminds me of my son in law....one of his little dogs (the Pomeranian) will go out and pee on the tire of his car. In order to try to get him to quit, he'll go out and pee on the tire himself!!! Makes me laugh every time I think of it!!! Alpha showing the underlings that it is HIS tire to pee on, not theirs!!!
Some days, I think PITA is my middle name!!! I'd love to 'rearrange', but that would mean that I would need to ARRANGE something in the first place! Hard to really settle in here, when I know we won't be here for real long. The sooner Slick and I can get a travel trailer, the happier I will be!!!! I miss having Luke on my lap, helping me to stay put in my chair so I don't float out of it......he was my baby! I like the way you put that, to your mom....."It hasn't, you have". That is so true of all of us. You are a good man....and to heck with the scowls! So what if I ask "For whom are you voting?" (please, don't answer, that was only a rhetorical question!!!) How's the healing coming along? Any chances to get out and swing the club again yet? I played Saturday and had a good time....first time EVER that I've gone to the course completely by myself. The foursome in front of me said "Hey....are you playing alone? Come and join us!!!" so I did. It was fun! Hugs to ya!!!
Ah, the things of you that I really miss! I just told the Slick one the other day, that the Milky Way candy bar commercial I have seen lately makes me think so much of you....the sound of the voice, the intonations....the actual words "oh let's not be coy".....I can just hear you so clearly!! I, too, love to read, but don't make the time. When I am "reading", I am doing nothing else....I remember well when the kids were young, and I would be reading a good book.....they'd want lunch, they'd want to go out and play, they'd want supper....and it was always "just let me finish this chapter...." I get so into the books I read. My favs of late have been more along what my daughter calls "self-help" book...she hates it when I read them, because she knows she is in for a dose of optimism from me!! But the books my Joel Osteen have been particularly moving for me.....they are Your Best Life Now and Becoming A Better You. My sisters have read them but not gotten out of them what I have....but that's okay! They just really speak to me.

Getting back to an area that has amish around, I should go into one of their stores one of these days. I find their lives so interesting.....and I don't think it would be a bad idea for some of us to try a few of their ways!! Hot and cold here......mostly bordering on the hotter side now. In the mid-80's....thinking I might need to uncover the air conditioner one of these days. I just hate too....I love the fresh air, but when that humidity gets in....YUCK!
A woman after my own heart....I do love to fish, but don't get to go out too often. Even when we were in Florida and had a boat.....we didn't get out often enough. Darn it! Sounds like you're getting better every day. Hugs to ya, and I'm still keeping all of ya in my prayers!!
THANK YOU for posting this link. I had it recording as well, and got to see them say "David Cook!", saw the hug between the David's and that was it. DVR recording over. DAMNIT!!!! I was thrilled to see him win it. Like you, I think he was the one who should have been the winner!!! My faith in the process was restored. YEA!
