Just for fun, I got an IQ book from the library and did the IQ test. I was pretty disappointed when I got 17 of the 60 questions wrong. Until I looked up my score.
Drumroll please...
My IQ is 128. That's in the upper range of "superior." If I got just a couple more questions correct, I'd be "gifted."
Of course, I always knew I was brilliant (roll eyes). Actually, in middle school, I was in the guidance counciler's office, and there on his cork board, in plain view, was a list titled "students with an IQ over 130." I think I was listed as 131 (don't remember for sure), and several of my friends were listed with a higher number.
Just for fun of course. I once took a job placement test for the city for a computer programmer job, and totally bombed the test. It was similar to the IQ test - just 10x harder. I still think about that test over 10 years after I took it. They were definitely looking for those on the high end of "gifted".
