Why does it have to be -30c when I discover the van's block heater isn't working - the heater that got replaced less than 4 months ago?? I have an appointment for next Monday, but it's going to be seriously cold for several nights between now and then. Darn. And the check engine light comes on when it's really cold. I'm ignoring it.

Watched the Space Station and Shuttle pass over my house in orbit tonight. BIL is into that kind of thing, so alerts DH when something interesting is happening in the sky.

The crazy week ahead is DD's 7th bday on Wednesday. And extremely cold weather continues, with snow, and I need to get to the gym to exercise, and grocery shop and bake cookies for DD to take to class on her bday, and bake cakes and clean house and clean pasture because the farrier comes on Friday afternoon, and buy a few more little gifts for DD, come up with a meal for the adult party on Sunday evening, the kid's party is that afternoon with a 2 hour break between the two, and drop a big load of books at the thrift store, and try to sell several boxes of books to the used book store and try to fit in all the projects I'm still trying to get done (weather has halted many of them).

At least I planned what I'm growing in the garden this year, went through all my seeds so now I know what I need to buy.

I feel better just thinking about gardening. :)
