You aren't missing anything. I just took over your comment section to do a "mini blog." I'm bored. I've been bored for years. I wanted to get picked. Add some excitement to my life. I volunteered to work the library booth at a Mind, Body Spirit expo next Saturday, I said I'd work the Thanksgiving weekend for another expo, and I picked up compost worms today - I'm starting an indoor wormery. (oops, blogging in your comment area again)
I didn't get picked for jury duty. But I enjoyed going to the court house, riding a glass elevator up 18 floors (!! wow, like an amusement ride !!), seeing a court room, judge, lawyers, the accused all all that "law" stuff. The woman sitting next to me got on the jury!
Yeah, mud season. And freak heavy snow fall season.
I created a blog elsewhere, but I haven't had the inspiration to write. Still training for the half marathon on Apr. 29. Doing a 10k Apr. 1. Got called for jury duty! Will find out Thurs afternoon if I have to show up there on Friday. Burnt down house got removed (yeah!), hole dug for new foundation. My "baby" DD turned 8 a few days ago. My dad is doing Chemo and will get a stem cell transplant in a few weeks. DS's science project earned him a spot in the city's competition in April! Yikes! Signed up for a long term health research project - a long questionnaire and an appointment to take measurements (20.8BMI and 26.4% body fat - I need to lose some of that!). And working 20.5 hours/week.
So close! At least we can go look at the picture.
I've lost 4+ earrings in the last year or so. So annoying. None was worth more than $20, but one I bought at the top of Sulfur Mountain and I have yet to find another set.
My vote is no. Probably high pressure and will make you feel guilty about refusing.
If I wouldn't have to explain myself, I'd be laughing out loud about your date. Sadly, it kind of sounds like you met my SIL.
