Day 1 was pretty good. I got to sleep in a bit, then went to yoga/pilates class. Ouch! I'm sore from the Thursday class I did with the same instructor, so it was tough in parts. I really didn't want to go home after, so another girl and I went for tea at Starbucks and wasted an hour and a half before we dragged our sore bodies home. I did some yard/horse chores and read the rest of the day.
Day 2 I got to sleep in a bit later (yeah!). DH and the kids went to see "Puss in Boots" and since I can't stand watching kids movies, I shopped instead. And ran into a friend and talked to her for a bit which was great! Bought a present each for the kids, didn't find some other presents I was looking for, bought myself a few small things, including a good quality winter ski jacket! Yeah! It's purple with a static like stripe pattern and is pretty and functional for outdoor sports and just for wearing. It wasn't even on sale (gasp!).
I finished the book "The Long Run" by Matt Long. He is a NYFD who was hit by a bus, given a 5% chance of survival, and recovered enough to run a marathon, then an Ironman! I jumped up from reading when I came across one name in the book, double checked, and sure enough, I did a run clinic in August with someone named in the book that Matt Long ran with. One degree of separation between me and Matt Long. Neat.
Day 3 is tomorrow, and I'm thinking long run before lunch (12-13k), then supper is a chinese food birthday thing for GMIL's 96th! I don't think she will make 97th. :(
