Lynell Still in Distress in New Orleans

An update:

I talked to my friend Lynell that lives in New Orleans. She left New Orleans on Friday before Gustusv hit the area. She returned Saturday and gave me a call.

She had power at her house, but the drug stores were still closed and she could not get her insulin. She said all the stores were out of ice.

We still have over 200 families here that need gas cards to return home. All the churches and Catholic Charities are helping in this effort.

I spent most of the day at the barn, helping my husband load 90 bales of hay to keep Miz and Slayer fed thru the winter. We still need about 60 more bales but the weather has been so wet here there hasn't been much time for cutting.

Miz was really sunburned on the white part of her left side so I had to go pick up some 60 sunscreen at Walgreens. She had a bath and will have to stay inside for a few days. Like people, she can get skin cancer. I should have taken a photo, even her nose is sunburned. Will try and remember to take the camera out there tonight.

Hope to see y'all in the chat room tonight around 9:00 PM CST for another " Buggs for President" rally. ALL are welcome.

More trouble is brewing, with Ike maybe taking another aim at the Gulf coast and New Orleans. Worries and concerns grow. Hugs to Lynell, and you, and a nose kiss and a fat carrot for Miz!

Jeez Cindy and it looks like Ike is heading into the gulf! Let's hope it goes south! Those poor people may have to urn around and leave again?
As for those horses, you're so lucky to able to have them. My wife road for years but we had to lease one. He was big...16 hands!
