Noteworthy

I got this email today & thought it was worth passing along. I think I am extra careful about whtching out for "suspicious" characters, I haven't read about this.

BEWARE of a piece of paper on the back of your vehicle when you have parked-

NEW technique used to do CARJACKINGS (NOT A JOKE)

Heads up everyone

You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine and shift into Reverse.

When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your
parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.

And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car. So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity is now compromised!

BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.

If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just
drive away. Remove the paper later.

This one has been around for a few years. I look at my car before I get in. Usually the only suspicious character is me.I do try to be very aware of my surroundings. Never hurts to be cautious.

Any carjacker is welcome to my hunk-a-junk. I'd even leave it unlocked for him. Heck, I'd just leave the keys in the ignition with the motor running but I doubt if there'd be any takers.

I don't think I have to worry about this, one look at my car and any carjacker would collapse in laughter.

The crooks think of every angle these days.. It's hard to keep up. Things that you take for granted, you no longer can. What a life... when you have to be suspicious of everything!
