Bella at age two or three.

Got a call from my vet yesterday. My dog, Bella, probably has liver cancer. She did blood work last week and the enzymes are extremely elevated so that's the most likely. I will take her for an ultrasound next week to rule out other causes.

First, I'm having all three dogs photographed professionally. Of course the two long haired ones go to the groomer the day before. The last time I gave Cassie a bath in the tub, I dropped her and then fell on her. She's 16 1/2 and wasn't hurt but I felt like shit anyway.

She's got severe arthritis, a heart problem and is 11 years old. There is no treatment for liver cancer and I won't do any aggressive treatment if it's something else.
It's a sad time.
