We finally got our cable to work on Monday! This was after waiting all day Sunday for the service truck. They promised to come at 11 a.m., then 3 p.m. and then by 7 at the latest. They finally admitted that they wouldn't be coming until Tuesday. I cancelled the visit on Monday night.
Turned out that our caretaker had disconnected the wiring from the RV - so no signal was getting through. ARGGHHH!!! Mom was much happier since that's about all she does - even though we were in Florida and the weather was great - sunny and 80+ degrees. Who could ask for more in late December?
Now why couldn't Comcast figure out that no signal was getting through to their boxes? And why didn't I see the terminal that was clearly labeled "Cable" in the cabinet where everything (sewer, water, etc.) gets connected? I did see the wire wrapped around a box in back of the lot - I just thought it might be for the phone that I had cancelled last year.
Got back to the cold on Thursday. Ugh.
