See the vivid red blob? That means we'll probably get around 18 inches of snow before 7 pm tomorrow when the blizzard warning expires. I don't remember ever having a blizzard warning. We're getting thunder and lightning and so is Chicago and other points west.
The weather people are comparing this "Blizzard of 2011" to the "Blizzard of 78." Most of them weren't around back then, but the chief was. That was some storm! Pregnant with my husband away, I got snowed in for a couple of days because there were 6 foot drifts against the doors.
Mostly, I remember the TV commercials advertising the "Toyota Sale-A-Thon" that no one could get to. It seemed like that was the subject of every commercial.
I'll be warm and cozy unless the power goes out. But I'm low on chocolate. Help!
