Broken Record

We are breaking a record today without even doing anything. That is the point-no snow. Today we are breaking the record for the longest period without snow. 280 days. It is raining but it is not cold enough for flakes. Last year we only had snow 3 times, a few inches each time. Each time it snowed on a Thursday and by Sunday, the snow had melted. No wonder we are in a drought. We may be headed that way again. I am prepared for snow. I brought the snow thrower to the front of the garage and have gas in the can.

Our temperature plummeted 40 degrees and it is dry as a bone. Down very
low at night.

The jet stream seems to be to the north of us. My place in Colorado got a couple of inches out of that storm, and that helped with the forest fire in the national park that has been burning since early October, but I think the whole midwest needs to start getting something or there is going to be big trouble next summer. City people love not having to drive to work in snow, but they'll all be sorry when food prices double.

Not enough rain to measure here. We broke the no snow record and no snow expected for at least another week.

We are having average precip which is good enough for me. We're supposed to get something on the order of 112 inches of snow, but I don't miss it.

We usually get about 40 inches of precip in a year but not for the last couple of years.

And we are a mild 81 degrees!
Are you complaining or happy that you aren't getting snow???

It is just so gray and damp.

It was slushing this morning but quickly turned to rain. Not that I want snow. I'm just sick of the damp.

And the grayness. I would like a little sun.

All we've had in Northwest Ohio are a few flurries maybe two weeks ago.... It's not even cold enough to snow, just rain.

We only had a little rain. Just on the edge of freezing.
