So we worked a long time to get to this stage of our lives-retirement. A new beginning. The best time. Why are so many retirees unhappy or grumpy? There is a whole world out there for us to enjoy. New friends. New experiences.

I think the middle-class ones might seem unhappy or grumpy because they are worried about inflation, taxes, health insurance, and the realization that their retirement nest egg is not going to go nearly as far as they expected. The wealthy ones don't have these concerns.
