Catching Up!

Boy, I really don’t know where to begin. I have been out of touch with all of you. I have been so busy it hasn’t stopped and it won’t.

Let’s see, the big news is that I am a Grandmother to Justin born 6-17-2008 @2:49 PM, weighing 9.5 lbs and 21” long. My daughter was schedule to be induced this day but decided to go in labor the day before. She delivered naturally. Her boyfriend, Aunt and I witness the birth.
I quit my idiotic job and had enough of the crap and will take care of my grandson in August along with another child in which I need to get busy trying to find another child to care for. Hopefully it won’t be too hard.

I have been so busy fixing up house however a lot still needs to be done. I just had windows put into the house and I am now re-doing the bedrooms. Not enough time to get things done.

I have begun to start an organization called Animal Rescue Express with another person in Washington. She handles the West coast rescue and I the East coast. I have been slammed with many runs on the east coast. What we do is coordinate rescues of animals all over the US and set up transporting runs across the states. As a matter of fact, this weekend I am transporting 5 Bobtail cats. These cats will be coming from Virginia and will go a home in MA. I will also be transporting 2 Doberman dogs from TN that were days away from being euthanized this weekend as well. Once that is done I have to organize a rescue run from CA to Kentucky. If anyone is interested in being a part of my organization in helping animals get to their forever home please contact me. This is all volunteer work and I need help from all walks of life. If you can’t do a run perhaps you can foster a dog over-night if the run will take days. Such as the run I will be organizing from CA – Kentucky.

My dog, which I sponsor at my local shelter, is being adopted. After spending 4 years at the shelter he is finally going to a forever home. The best part is the dog often goes to his trainer’s house for sleep-over and she is divorcing her husband and adopting a dog. What a perfect trade.

I have been involved with the ASPCA community board in raising awareness of many groups. Of the many things I have done was get dogs out of shelters that will be put down to helping an animal with a medical issue.

I also sponsor 4 of Michael Vick’s dogs that he use in dogfighting. He is the NFL Football player that was sent to prison.
