I thought I stop in to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

My husband has gotten over his pneumonia in which took him a long time to recover. He was forced to start chemotherapy earlier than planned since the cancer spread more in his lungs but not else where in his body.

The hospital released him after a week and a half of staying there. For the first few days he was doing okay and then started going down hill. He had an appointment with the oncologist and was sent right back into the hospital. Lucky the Cancer facility is part of the hospital.

He learned that his cancer spread and because he was having great difficulties breathing he damaged part of his heart and they decided to start the chemotherapy earlier. He finally came home last Sunday. This time, I wanted oxygen in the house and other medical stuff that he may need to assure his breathing doesn't drop like it had before.

He has chemotherapy every 3 weeks. They give him 3 different kinds of chemotherapy and it is a heavy dosage in which takes like 8 hours. Some where in between he will have to have radiation. After this chemotherapy they will do a CAT to see if any of the cancer has shrunk.

I know we can never completely get rid of cancer but we can put it in remission. During the week of Thanksgiving I lost a good friend ( coworker from the craft store) that was several rooms down from my husband to cancer. He battle prostate cancer for 11 years in addition, my banker lost his son in which he had bone cancer and lost his battle after 3 year. He was only 20.
