Now you know I love "Dreamgirls" and "I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" but what is/does a 14 year old boy know what those lyrics are about--and "I Who Have Nothing"??? The difference between a good singer and great singer is not how loud they sing but how they have lived the lyrics and know what they are singing about.

And who was that 'dirty old man' who kissed him???

Yes awesome voice but let the kid be a kid for a few years--the idolization that Beiber is exposed to can't be doing him any good--making him rich yes but 'too much'.

Beiber is in the Americas (I believe he's canadian?) and Jack is in Australia. He is still going to school and will continue his studies which are a priority, that's what I heard him say at the last interview I saw. He's still being a kid at school just like any other. He does a lot of charity work which is something I find very appealing as he has kindness in him that not too many "stars" have. He has not had an easy life, brought up by his mom who had serious domestic problems with his dad before they split up. His dad is now on a wheelchair with MS and the relationship is much better but has never reconciled with mom. I think this kid knows a lot of emotion and he is quite able to express them in his songs.
I have a problem with judges of singing competitions (The Voice, X Factor, Australia's Got Talent, American Idol) when they start saying things that has nothing to do with the singer's voice or the song. They dont know what emotions the singer is feeling, it's all crap. If the singer has an awesome voice, he/she's got an awesome voice, end of story.
I do agree with you that they start far too early. They need to be kids when they are kids.
That "dirty old man" who kissed him is one of the judges who was blown away by his talent. I thought it was a bit "off" myself...lol.

Yes, he's right up there with big stars. Hope his early exposure doesn't mess him up.

me too Teal, I hope he is allowed to continue his education first and to grow up as normally as possible. He is a star with a wonderful future but care must be taken for sure. I just love him, I think he's a very nice kid and I hope he stays grounded.

I wonder if he'll become a big deal over here.

most of our Aussie stars eventually end up over there, so I'm pretty sure he will give it a go as well. We dont mind sharing our talent with the rest of the world.

he's only 14 so he's got to finish school first I guess. I hope he makes it every where...he's got an awesome voice and I hope a great future.

I'm not a fan of this style, but the voice is fantastic. Stop grumbling.
