Come with Me ... ...

For a ride on a badjay and a walk around a local market in my suburb in Jakarta.

I must apologize for my lousy filming, I still need lots of practice to get it right and hopefully I will get better by the 100th clip...lol.

There's also a little bit of footage in Part 2 that might upset some, it upset me to video it and I'm just thankful nobody actually killed a chook while I was in there.

I'm actually having fun doing this but uploading clips on youtube is really, really painful.  The first time I tried to upload it took almost 9 hours but finally it was  done and when I clicked on the link, to my horror it said..."Removed because it was too long".  So I had to split it into two clips and start all over again.  Then each video took hours to upload and part 2 took five tries before it was successful.

But I will keep doing it I guess until the novelty wears off or there's nothing else I wanna show you about my life here in Jakarta.

Most of our swap shops are half in doors with a/c and half outdoors in the heat and humidity!!!

if you pronounce the vowels phonetically, a e i o u .....this is how all words are pronounced in Indonesian..phonetically. I dont know about more, if it wasnt such a hassle uploading the damn things on youtube and on blogs, I dont know if it's worth it. Maybe I'll just email the videos directly to you.

How much did the ride cost? Do you tip the driver? What does it say on the back of his shirt?
It's why-fie--not wee-fee
The first floor with all the clothes, etc., looks like our swap shops.
Did you follow the guy in the white jeans and t-shirt just for me?
More! More! We want more!!!

The ride cost 7,000 rupiahs which is about 70 cents (US) and yes I always tip the driver and give him a 10,000 rupiah note and dont ask for change. I dont recall what it says on the back of his shirt, I will look and tell you next time.
Here in Indonesia words are pronounced STRICTLY phonetically so it has to be pronounced wee fee as opposed to Why-fie as is pronounced in the US and also in Aus. I am very Indonesianized now...lol.
Bet your swap shops over there are air-conditioned....lol.
Guy with white jeans and t-shirt? must check him out...lol.
If you knew how much trouble I had uploading those damn clips, you would feel sorry for me and not ask for any more....UNBELIEVABLE!!!
But I sure am glad you enjoyed the clips, I was worried they'd be boring.
