Updates and Concerns

Hi Everyone -

I'll start off today's blog with some good news. This week has been remarkable for me. My back is feeling so so much better. It is like I took a big leap forward. I am just amazed and oh sooooo thankful for this improvement!!!!!

My grandson, Chance, couldn't have his chemo treatment this week. His blood counts were way too low. So he gets the week off from treatment. He is spending time at home and then a few days at a cancer camp. I think the latter will be great for him.

Now for my concerns. I've got a few things troubling me and I am going to mention them here on my blog. I'm really not out to start a big arguement or discussion. I just need to "air" my concerns.

The first concern is Barack Obama. To tell the truth... he scares me. I just couldn't ever vote for a person who has had such close ties to anti-American figures. His wife's comments concerning America have also caused me great concern. I also don't get why so many people think he is sooo great when he is a person that lacks experience. I know he is a great speaker, but he also has some great speech writers. If he has to speak "off-the-cuff", he just isn't that great. I pray that Americans open their eyes and take a good looke at this man. He isn't what the media is putting him up to be. FACT IS... IT IS SAD THAT THE MEDIA MAY BE THE ONE ELECTING OUR NEXT PRESIDENT!!!!

My other concern is the recent move against truck drivers. In the media, they are being portrayed as a bunch of sickly overweight men with sleep apnea. Yes, I'm sure that there are many men out their with sleep apnea and many of them don't drive trucks. I know I drove my car for years and I didn't know I had sleep apnea. I even fell asleep behind the wheel. But... to mandate every trucker to get a sleep apnea test is just not right. If they are going to mandate sleep apnea tests for truckers then they need to do the same for all drivers... including you!!!!!

p.s. I'm not happy that I have to vote for McCain. I don't care for him at all. But... at least he doesn't scare me. I'm sure he does love his country!!!!!

p.s.s. It doesn't matter who is President when it comes to Iraq. Public pressure is too great to pull out and so whether it is McCain or Obama.... they will have to pull out the troops. Remember Johnson campaigned against excalating the Vietnam war and Goldwater proposed increasing bombing. Well.... Johnson ended up doing exactly what Goldwater had planned to do. What someone says when running for President isn't always what happens when they become President.

Well... enough for today.

Love & hugs to everyone - Annie :o)

Annie, I'm just so happy that your back is better! Chance will have a great time at camp! What's this about all truckers having to take a sleep apnea test? I haven't heard that... There are a lot of trucks on our freeways here in the LA area. I like to get behind one when I use the freeways because then I can go slower without having someone mad at me.
About Obama... well, I voted for Hillary.

Glad to hear that your back is finally feeling better, but I worry about Chance. As for the political concerns... a good thing for me to avoid commenting on. Just know that I think you are a good-hearted person wether we think alike or not!

It is so good to hear from you and I am glad you are better. Sorry Chance isn't feeling well. Feel same way you about the upcoming presidents race and whose running Scares the wadding out of me. Love you Hazel

Have forgotten what you back problems are (I'm 85), but I have spinal stenosis and had a back treatment last week - a shot in the spine and am now feeling better. Hope you stay "better". I agree with you on Obama. He is just tooooo much for me. I will be voting against again this year. Wish we had a better choice than McCain, but he's definitely a better choice. We just don't have any statesmen left anymore. Take care of yourself and hope Chance will soon be through with kemo.

Happy to hear you're feeling better. Sorry you feel the way you do about Obama. I for one am not satisfied about the hell hole we've lived in for the past 7.5 years.

Good to hear about your back and Chance. The boy I had in my classroom with leukemia has lots of "low blood counts" that delay one treatment or another. Don't worry, he'll get it the next time.

Annie,
I'm so so happy! to hear that you're feeling better.
Hope Chance has fun at the camp. I'm sure he will.

I understand your concerns about Obama too. I don't want to vote for McCain, but I may because of his experience. I'm not happy with the either choice in all honesty.

Did not know about this new truck driver drams, geeze...

First off I am so glad to hear that you are doing so much better and feeling better!! Secondly, I am so sad that Chance isn't feeling well. Bless his heart!! That has to be so hard especially on a young kid like that.

And now onto how you feel about Barack Obama BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!! I agree with you 100% I feel the same way about him and his wife!! I also feel the same way about McCain I too don't want to vote for him either but I WILL NOT VOTE for Obama and his wife and ways!! And yes, you are right I think that the media will elect him. Sad, sad, sad situation!!

I hadn't heard this about truck drivers and the sleep apnea testing. I agree they shouldn't just single them out. How is you doing with your c-pap machine? I have to use mine and it does help.

It is sooooo good to hear from you girl!!

That is such good news that your back is doing better. I think camp sounds like a great idea for Chance, he'll enjoy himself and get to be with other kids. I've been meaning to ask you about your sleep apnea machine...if you were enjoying it more..or not??

Good news about your back - I have been praying that sooner rather than later the surgery would have been worth it. Going to camp sounds like fun for Chance, bless his heart. It's good to share your concerns, always helps me to get things off my chest.
