I see I haven't been here in months and months. My excuse.... Facebook. You know that being on Facebook is a full time job. But, I feel guilty that I haven't dropped in to at least say hello. Although, most of you are on FB with me and if you aren't... well you are missing out on life in the year 2010.

Somethings have not changed since the last time I posted. JR and I still have 4 dogs and one bird. The dogs are a little older and the bird still hasn't learned to talk. JR is still trucking and I'm still holding down the fort here in South Eastern Oregon. All is quiet except for the occassional sounds of crying coyotes. There haven't been any uprisings among the local natives.

Oh, that calf we butchered and put in the freezer is delicious. I think it is the most tender meat I have ever tasted. I've got another one on the hoof, but JR isn't here much and eating through a whole beef takes time. I think we will just keep this other one for another year before butchering it.

We are having a wonderful autumn. It has been quite warm with the usual cool nights. Some years, I have been feeding in the snow by now. Winter can just wait as far as I'm concerned. Autumn is my favorite season.

I do hope some of you drop by and say, "hello." I promise to stop back more often.
