This is a picture of Chance and his little sister, Riley at the hospital in Portland. You can see that Riley is a budding artist.
We are busy getting ready for the benefit concert for Chance in Louisville, Kentucky at the end of this month. Papa JR will arrive there in his truck, along with our dog Annie. I will be joining him after a very long flight from the West Coast. It is really frustrating to get from any airport here to Louisville. The best flight we could get was out of Sacramento, CA... so first, we have a loooong drive and then a loooong flight.
Also flying with me will be Shelby, Chance's other sister, his Aunt Debbie, and his cousin, Kirstie. Shelby will be representing her brother at the concert.
I'm a little worried about the long trip because of my back. But, I am determined to go. I looked into renting either a scooter or wheelchair to get around easier and I think I would be more comfortable in a wheelchair. I'd probably run over someone while driving the scooter. lol
Yesterday, I traveled with a friend to Medford to visit my doctor that handles my hormone treatment. Then we went to lunch and then to Rogue River where we visited her daughter and family. I hadn't been in the town of Rogue River before and I instantly fell in love with it. It was just the right size. One could go for a short walk and cover the whole town. Still it had some nice places to eat, a beautiful library, and also a very nice park which is next to the Rogue which is one of America's wild rivers. Rafting on the Rogue is very popular. I'd love to move there for awhile as it seems like a very friendly little town.
(I copied the above from a Blogster post. It is more of an update on what is happening in our lives)
