I've been outside almost all day trying to get the cattle taken care of in this frozen wasteland. The hay truck won't start, the water troughs are frozen, my wash machine is frozen, I'm frozen.... etc.... etc... And I think my neighbor who is suppose to be helping me is off somewhere drunk. I'm too tired to say anymore, but here are a couple of pictures to help you get the idea.




I didn't have an ax so I used a steel fence post to break ice. Other than that, this picture is about what it is like out at the corrals. Our water trough is much much bigger, but the ice is about as thick.

JR has been stuck in Hesperia, CA all day in a horrible snowstorm. It is suppose to let up about 2am, but they expect another foot of snow before that happens. All roads going North out of there are closed.

What a day this has been.
