Unexpected Guests

Sunday evening a storm moved into the area with much rain, lightning and high winds. The broadband satellite was hit causing the loss of my way of communication until late last night. I have so many posts to catch up on again. I was crazy waiting for the repairs to be finished.Monday morning, I glanced outside and saw three wild geese struting around in my back yard as if they didn't have a care in the world. They left but came back with 17 friends. They remained in my yard for several hours, eating and sunning themselves. This morning 29 decided to pay me a visit. I walked out with my camera, and they didn't even get upset in the least. The first picture is difficult to make out since they blend in with the pasture, but I included it since Traveling Man was out there with them(my blue heeler). They didn't give him a second glance. However, the second picture is clearer. Of course, I am not very adept with the mechanical camera.I took Reni to the vet today--worming and shots. I have scheduled his demalement for the first week in October. Coming home, he managed to get out of the carrier. Boy what a cat fight that was. He was jumping through the steering wheel, jumping on the dash while I was fighting trying to get him back into the case, car all over the road. I finally found a place that I could stop and stuff him back into the carrier. What a ride that was!Have a good Tuesday!

My brother was telling me about a power outage in his area of Ohio, storm related of course. That took place around the same time your broadband service was out. Whoa, I don't envy that ride with the loose cat! That must have been so nerve-wracking, thank goodness you managed to stay on the road! Cats do not usually make the best passengers.

I had to laugh because I can so relate to driving with a cat. Mine don't sit still either, it's like driving with a monkey. I have to put them in a carrier, or I'd wreck..

I love the Canadian geese. They stop here for a day or two to rest.

Oh you have a blue cattle dog. Reminds me of home…

I wonder if any passing motorists saw yer antics…

Wow! That must have been scary to have to drive while trying to calm the cat down.

I live a couple miles from our city botanical garden, which features a beautiful large pond and small waterfall, which is home to swans, ducks and Canadian geese, and an attractive visiting spot for traveling Canadian geese, too. It's one of my favorite nature haunts. They have been great fun to watch this season — lots of goslings!
Glad you and your kitten survived the ride home!! It sounded like a Laurel and Hardy comedy sketch! I'll bet you will devise a more secure closure on that carrier next time. What a clever little fella!

I don't think he liked getting his boy berries removed(my sister's term not mine.)

How funny! Lucky the cat did not get under the gas/brake pedal. I had that happen once and did not care that the brake smooshed the cat as I rolled to a stop. Ye, I can visualize your ride!

The image of that cat getting all over the car is hysterical!

Hope you weren't wounded too badly in the fight.
I wondered where our geese had gone to.
