Rebirth
Spring colors erupt, proclaiming nature's promise of rebirth.
Trees sparkle with shades of gold, resembling precious nuggets polished.
And to tantalize the eyes, varied hues of pinks, reds, and orange peep shyly through swaying limbs.
Bare Branches have begun to dress in pale and dark greens, broken periodically with virgin white.
Wondrous beauty, everywhere I look, springs forth from the ashes of the past year.
Once again I am revived with the promise nature gives to us.
Death is but a short sleep from which we awaken refreshed with new life.
I wrote this while traveling in the car. I hope that you enjoy my free verse.
