Wicked End Of The Stick

Sitting Undercover in a Church near You ...

I got all of the prep work done for Easter and celebrated my oldest daughters birthday. I am now all alone. Oh how many months has it been that I am home alone? I have done nothing besides get into the Easter stash of candies and have a little Merlot. Not a bad evening.

Tomorrow I am back to work. Every Sunday I have to support my ladies in their spiritual needs and attend church with them. It has been interesting to say the least.

I am not a Christan. I am a member of the Baha'i Faith. It is a odd thing to sit in a church Sunday after Sunday and feel almost like someone under cover investigating exactly what is really happening here.

There were times that I was offended. One preacher discussed good relationships and toxic and so on. I agreed with all of it, until he said "If a person does not LOVE Jesus Christ they will NEVER love you". What???

I even had a church dream since I have been attending on the regular. Here it is...

I was in the church with someone else but I am not sure who. When me and the mystery person were coming into sit down this group of girls started making fun of whoever I was with and I went over to one of them and said aloud in front of the whole congregation "If you say one more word I am going to PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE!!" Then her friend said "YOU CANT.." I interrupted her and said "DON'T YOU TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO!"

I then with force threw them out of the church! When I came back in the entire congregation was looking at me like I was the monster.

I went back outside and told the girls "Hey guys it was just a joke, but you know who the joke it really going to be on? Everyone inside! Now lets go back in and pretend that we all know each other and laugh and laugh!"

They were not down with the idea. I then preceded to FORCE them back into the church!

Then I woke up, thank God!

I have learned a lot from sitting in the back observing all the goings on. I participate in the prayers by bowing my head and really listening. I know I can feel the energy when such a large group prays together.

The thing I don't understand is when they pass the collection plate, the pastor does a prayer for everyone who puts money in. It is hard for me to understand. If I were the one in charge I would want to pray for all the ones who did not have that extra dime to drop in. I just think it makes more since, a win win situation.

But really, what do I know? I am a Baha'i, but I will let you in on a little secret. I have been trying to practice as many religions as I can get my hands on. A piece of this and a little of that and I have been feeling very enlightened. Life is good. Who knows if it is the Catholic candles or my Kabbalah string?

Oh yeah HAPPY EASTER!
