Well, judging by what's going on here, you'd better hope your next weather doesn't come from Las Vegas. We are still getting pelted by the rain that's been wreaking havoc in California, and the weathermen are calling it the Pineapple Express because it came from Hawaii, or at least that general direction.
It's been rainy for more than a week here, and right now rain is pelting down. We don't have a flat roof, fortunately, because those people really have problems in this kind of weather. It's usually so dry in Las Vegas if they have a leaky roof it doesn't matter until a day like today, and they have to get out there with blue tarps and try to cover the bad spots and drain the water out of their light fixtures inside the house.
The Virgin River (yes, it's an ironic name for something so close to Sin City) is flooding and houses in Littlefield on the Beaver Dam Wash near Mesquite are being washed away, sailing downriver towards Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam.

Don't worry about our friend Steve (looserobes) in Utah. I checked with him and they are getting a lot of rain, but no snow as yet. He isn't in a river valley, so no worries there, either. Zion National Park where he goes hiking is closed in several areas due to the flooding. I think it'd be fun to see the water pouring down from those slot canyons, but not if the next thing to wash away was my car.
