Governors may come and go, but hopefully the nice art and furnishings are there to stay.
I remember when the very first one came out and how exciting that was to certain people like my husband, who went back a week later to see it again. It seems like so much has changed with regard to how and where we can watch movies, and it's not all necessarily for the better.
Your last sentence is how I feel, too. It's better for me to not get started on it.
Nice looking tree. And nice furry ornament. Bless her heart.
When my father-in-law worked for Martin-Marietta Aerospace, he frequented their salvage lot and brought home all kinds of interesting things like a big box about that size with dials and lights that he fixed up to blink and move, although it didn't have much meaning. Now we know he could have glued a lamp to the top and called it valuable. And gyroscopes that he used some sort of electric zap to get spinning, and then you held it in your hand, and the spinning created an inertia that stabilized the direction you could go with your hand.
The way you describe it makes it sound like a promising story, but it sounds like the 'rules' were something we've all heard many times and they're not so funny any more. There is a point where 'clever' becomes tedious if it's not handled right.
Sorry about the annexation, I'll bet there are developers salivating over the prospect. I hope you get to feeling better, and that by the time you resurface through magic some of the cabinet choices will have decided they'd rather not deal with the government looking into their business dealings so as to absolve them of conflict of interest issues. One can only hope.
On my drives around the county here and there I see burros and donkeys and once in awhile a mule. One cute little burro is in a pasture with horses, but doesn't stand close to them. And one of the donkeys has a white rear end just under his tail for some reason. If I was picking, I'd go burro.
I can imagine that feeling. Yesterday in Walmart... What I like about life is the few moments between reading somebody's blog title and the page loading so I can see the whole thing: I make up a story to match what I think the title is about, and then see if it's what I expected.
One time for a joke I bought some of that spray on coloring that is supposed to look like hair, but before I could give it as the joke, I discovered a bald spot on my own scalp where a bunch of hair had fallen out due to stress - somebody's gambling addiction, and it wasn't mine. I was also in danger of getting laid off from my job, so didn't need to be worried about that bald spot as I went around on job interviews, so I used that spray paint, and I don't know if it really wasn't noticeable, but it helped my self confidence.
I hate it when people know what you mean but make a big deal of rubbing it in that you misspoke, especially when it's not critical - as if it never happens to them.
There you were, just living life and that happened. I hope it's easily cured.
Such a relaxing show to watch. I always look at things like the dish pattern that Aunt Bee has and the hats and clothes in general.
Angel's not holding a grudge, sounds like.
That's just horrible. Poor Angel to have to go through that, and you thought you were doing a good thing leaving her in the care of a business owned by a vet. Best hope-you-feel-better wishes to Angel.
