On the way there, the entire two hours, she cried and panted. I pulled over at one point and tried to get her to drink some water, but she wasn't interested.
When we got there, she curled up on the back seat floor and went to sleep. And all the way home she was calm, didn't say boo, just sat on the console next to me and looked out the windows at the scenery.
When we got back home, she had to check out the house to make sure it was somewhere she'd been before and that nothing had changed. Then, she settled down to a nap in front of the fire. I was experimenting with the flash on the camera, so these are a little blurry.
My plan for our next road trip is to drive for about an hour, then stop for a rest so Eloise can calm down. I hope it works because it's no fun having a distressed cat in the car.
