Ray and I took a trip over to my new library this afternoon. I had been wanting to own in to get the paperwork I need to to fill out for personnel. He had never been to the Cumberland Public Library before. He ended up being really excited by the trip. He loved all the amazing architectural features of the builiding, and he seemed totally amazed by the size of the library, which is quite a bit bigger than the library I have been working at for so long.

The Head of Reference was nice enough to take us both on a tour of the whole building so he had a chance to see all of the rooms. She really did an awesome job. It was also great getting to meet more of the people I am going to be working with. They all seemed so excited about my joining their team. It really added to my excitement.

I was pretty excited to see wow well Ray handled the tour. I was worried that it would make his foot sore, but it proved to go really well. Today was the first day that he went back to wearing shoes on both feet again. His surgical site is doing totally amazing. It is almost totally healed. The flesh has totally filled in now, and the skin is closing up really well. I think the opening is down to about the size of a dime.

Besides getting the paperwork, I also dropped off a box of things for my office. Today was the first day that I really went into it, and it is actually quite a bit bigger than I remembered it, which is so exciting. I am so looking forward to this shift.

You probably remember that we were supposed to have lunch with my godparents. They had to cancel because my godmother's sister ended up having a major nosebleed. two days ago. It was so bad that she had to go to the emergency room, and they had to go with her for a follow up with an ENT doctor. We rescheduled and should get together for lunch on Sunday.
