It has been snowing for most of the day. We are supposed to get almost a foot of snow. Surprsingly, I am not all that bothered by it. It might be because I didn't have to work today or early tomorrow morning. That means I didn't have to drive in it. I did have the Trivial Pursuit gang at the local library this morning, but we were done around noon, and thtat was quite a bit before the start of the storm.
According to the predictions, the worst of the storm is about done. It is supposed to keep snowing until about 7:00 am, but it is going to be transitioning into showers rather than the heavier snowfall. I snuck out the front door and did a quick measure, and it is as deep as my hand up to the wrist. i was too lazy to find a ruler so I can't get a more accurate measurement.
It will probably mean a couple of hours of shoveling in the morning to clear out the driveway and walkways, but it does look really pretty. I am guessing that my Sunday shift in the old library will end up being slow, at least for the early portion since that usually happens after a storm like this. I won't have to be in until 12:30 pm, though so I am guessing I probably won't have a problem with getting in.
The really great thing about the storm is It pretty much made me sit back, relax and do nothing but read and watch TV all day. Sounds good to me! It did kill any chance I was hoping to have to see The Hobbit, though. Oh, well! I still feel really rested up now.
I basically spent the day with Jack, Janet, Chrissy, and the Ropers.
