It was too cloudy for us to see the northern lights last week. The pictures looked beautiful. I saw some once. Long time ago. They don't ofter get this far south.

It is hard to imagine living where they are a frequent visitor. I wonder if it's like living where there are beautiful sunsets - it never gets old.

I just love the full moon. Period.

There is so much about it to love - the huge orangeness as it comes up over the horizon, how it turns night into day, especially with snow on the ground, and that chilly white disk journeying across the sky. I like getting up in the middle of the night to see what the moon is up to, and I picture it shining over the pyramids in Egypt when it's shining over me.

I love wolf man movies. The old ones with Paul Douglas were the best.

I enjoy seeing what people wore in those old movies because it wasn't someone today trying to make it look like the 1950s, it was contemporary dress at that time.

I love it when the full moon shines on the snow. With the reflection, it can be as bright as day.

I did not know that. Is there a reason for this, other than the ones jd and Fredo are talking about?

It's an American Indian designation, based on their customs, before the wolfman movies came about.
