One of the best things about what I do for a living is that I can often do it in shorts and t-shirts. I can stagger down the stairs, unshaven, hair a mess and still be productive.
On most days, I get up, shower and get dressed just like I am going to an office. However, there are days, like these brutally hot August days when when boots and jeans are out of the question. So, I am working today in cargo shorts and a tshirt. I have gotten to the point where getting dressed up means wearing shoes that require socks.
Of course, the bad thing is that you never really escape the office. It is not uncommon for me to work until 10, 11 or 12 at night because I am in the middle of something and want to finish.
Also, working at home means that there are always naps close by if the need arises.
Of course, when it is time to go out and see customers I put my work stuff on and get it done. for someone that works at home I drive a great deal. On the 22nd, it will be 3 months since I had my oil changed in my Expedition. I checked mileage today and I have already driven 11,400 miles in just under 3 months. Imagine how many miles it would be if I were commuting everyday.
It is a slow afternoon. All my bid work is caught up momentarily. I have a large project due next week, but I think I will wait a little before I start it. I think Iam going to go lay by the pool.
Jealous?
It's ok. I would be as well.
Peace
