Low Down Southern Whiskey Began to Fog My Brain

I haven't had a drink since Easter. I can't tell you how many days that has been. Nor, do I really care. I am not in a program or anything that asks me to keep count. I looked back and realized that I have been drinking for 30 years this summer. I am not drinking because my life/health plan requires that I do not waste any calories by drinking them. So, no booze, no cokes, no milkshakes. I don't really miss any of it. I have tried very hard and changed my attitude about food. I eat now because I am hungry and need fuel. I don't eat for enjoyment. I enjoy what I eat. But it is no longer recreation.

The Worst Food in America
Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing

2,900 calories
182 g fat
240 g carbs

This weapon of mass construction is the caloric equivalent of eating 14 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, before your dinner arrives. Even if you split this "starter" with 3 friends, you'll have downed a meal's worth of calories.

Worst Dessert
Chili's Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream

1,600 calories
78 g fat
215 g carbs

Would you eat a Big Mac for dessert? How about three? That's the calorie equivalent of this decadent dish. Clearly, Chili's customers get their money's worth.

I don't know how I ended up on bad foods.

Btw, 70 lbs and counting.

Peace, out

In my past, I have eaten very similar things. Four years ago I had gastric bypass surgery. It was dramatic, traumatic, and I couldn't swill down a swallow of water for weeks on end.
I have lost about 200 pounds. I have saved my life, which was my reason for the surgery. My new stomach is about the size of an egg. I bought myself a lot of concerns about nutrition and health,, and special foods to get in enough protein daily. Where a candy bar used to do it for me, today 10-12 grapes is a seriously large snack. I'm still getting used to it. It amazes me to remember when I though a package of macaroni and cheese was a meal in a box, Congratulations on the weight loss, Pirate. Keep at it!

70 pounds is awesome! WTG, Chris. Cheesy fries don't do it for me, but Ben and Jerry's ice cream, oh my.

I love those cheesy fries! Fortunately, we don't have an Outback near our house so the temtpation doesn't playout as much as I would like.

WTG! I have to admit that I'd eat the dessert! That said, I'm actually doing the best I can to change my attitude about food.
