Recovering
Ed came home from the hospital yesterday, but is very weak and uses a walker. However, the walker doesn’t fit through the door leading to the bathroom. It’s good he can manage small journeys.
I got to bed at 1 a.m., and Ed woke me at 4:30 and wanted a fried egg. I talked him out of it, but he put the TV on so getting back to sleep was a joke. I gave him some deli chicken from last night. Have been up ever since. So it goes. A home care nurse is coming this morning.
The nursing staff at the hospital said that people much younger have been in intensive care with this flu. It will be a while before Ed can run around attending to his guardian duties.
The best news is that Solveiga passed her R.N. exam, which she said was super hard. She is thrilled and making plans. We tutored her -- Ed with medical stuff (he had two years of med school) and I edited her papers. So we're taking credit too.
