If there is indeed a spiritual and mystical presence guiding the world, isn’t it presumptuous to assign to it a gender? In all the religions I am aware of, God is a He. If so, does he have an astral penis? How does he use it? A subject for wild speculation, I dare say. Or maybe it’s symbolic (as in so many marriages I know about).

If Muslims are correct in their view that their martyrs will be rewarded for their ultimate sacrifice by being given a certain number of virgins (the number escapes me) in the hereafter, what happens to these virgins after they have been mystically deflowered? Is there an astral virgin scrap heap? Do they get misted and poured back into a huge soup of ectoplasm and reformed as new virgins for gifting so that there is a constant fresh supply? God gets on the hot line to the “Cloud Nine Virgin Mill” and orders up a fresh batch for the suicide bombers who are on their way. I am imagining the conversation, “Hi, this is God. Send over a new batch of vergins for the Muslim martyrs coming up … no, this batch won’t need any brains. They won’t be talking.”

Has it occurred to anyone, Muslims included, that there are no legends concerning female suicide bombers? What is their Heavenly reward? Hmmm? Sounds like Heavenly discrimination to me.

I know I am applying earthly logic to what I am told I should take as a matter of faith but if there is a God as so many insist, if he didn’t want me to ask questions, why did he give me a brain?

I feel confident that my pals on MyBloggers will not be offended but I wonder about the casual drop in. Please do not defend God. He truly can defend himself and if He wants to punish me, I'm sure He'll find a way. Or, he may just answer my questions. Now that would be cool.
