Okay, Now I'm a Techie
A few days ago my bff Nadine came back from the Republic of Georgia where her son is working for the State Department. He had an assignment in Armenia and she tagged along. A wonderful trip she said.
Then she picked me up and we drove to the Verizon store where I have a contract for Ed’s Samsung smartphone. We bought an Apple SE at a discount. My number from the dumb phone was transferred and I don't have to update anyone which is good. But then I had to marry it to my Apple account and that was involved and Nadine helped me. I find that although it is supposedly easier to use, I am having trouble figuring everything out. So I ordered the manual and it will get here sometime today, I am assured. I took a couple of selfies, thought I looked awful and deleted them. Anyway, I am now officially a member of the high tech crowd. Choke. Gasp.
Sol came over and I took her next door to where there is a mango tree we used to own before we sold that house and bought this one. Annie, who lives there now, said we could take as many as we wanted. So we loaded up a box and Sol took them home and is freezing them and making stuff and will bring some prepared mangoes back to me when she comes over again next Friday. Ed won’t be here. He’s going to Orlando for a Guardian meeting. He asked me to come this time, but I am reluctant to leave the kitties. It was an easier decision when Sol could take care of them, but now she has two of her own and it all depends on her days off.
Nadine recommended an eye glass place that was supposedly cheaper than the one I use. So I needed a lens upgrade and went to them and they were not cheaper. So it goes. But I did get new glasses. Which should be ready any day. I need prisms for astigmatism and that takes longer. I hate to see two roads when I’m driving, so the prisms are important. And if I’m watching TV without my glasses, I have to close one eye and Ed hates that.
My shoe guy is back in business he says on his message machine, so I left him a message and hope to hear from him.
Meanwhile, the treasonous president is disgracing us on an ongoing basis. I have a one-liner I will send to the paper when he is impeached. It will say "Ding dong, the witch is dead."
