I share your appreciation of like minds on this blog ... you are all special to me and I laugh with you when you are happy and grieve with you over life's misfortunes.
You must be eager to have that project done. It will be super.
People who write these articles are always looking for an angle. My kitchen needs a re-do but I don't like orange anywhere anyway. 7 below scares me. You're in me thoughts.
Pepper and oregano (and lemon) are the go-to spices for all Greek cooking. I use a lot in everything I do. Jay once said, choking, "put pepper on the list -- I'm sure we've run out." I don't see myself growing spices but I'll try to use more basil. Although I have daily back pain lately, I'm not taking anything for it. Aleve messes up my stomach and doesn't help that much.
A gallery of furry gourmands.
Yes I receive lovely potted plants from friends for various occasions. Yes, they all die within three months. Periodically, I convince myself that a lovely potted plant I see in the market will survive if I buy it and I am always wrong. Move over, Ms. Black Thumb.
Rinny's face does not, however, look fat. He is beautiful and seems to have a really sweet disposition.
I know, I know, I am no longer bound by winter conditions, but I can't help but love the look of snow in the woods -- it is so very beautiful and I would love to walk in those woods. Lovely photos. I have a photo of 113th St. in Forest Hills, NY, taken from our apartment window. It is just after a major snow storm. When I get nostalgic, I take it out and look at it.
Great pix. I especially like the one with the log on the path. Makes me want to find out where it goes. Reading a lot lately about how nature walks and being in forests has many health benefits. What a lovely day you had.
I gather your shakes taste good too.
We like to look at new homes too and what we find is palatial architecture on small footage -totally out of sync. Also many archways and one wonders where to put the furniture. I think we wouldn't have been so polite.
Ed was a guardian for a woman who knew she had only a few months to live. She had hospice care at her condo, 24/7 nursing including custodial care. My sis, on the other hand, was already near the end when she was transferred from the hospital to a hospice facility and she died barely a day later. Hospice is needed. But the word for me will always be a dreadful reminder of loss. No amount of understanding and appreciation for the good hospice does will ever change the fact that when you go into it, you don't come out of it and that is why the word associated with anyone I love is a dreaded word.
A perfect setting ... how nice of her to send you the photo.
ooh, shades of reno nightmares. You gotta keep the pix coming.
Take hot bath with epsom salts (drug store should have) -- won't solve whole problem but will help. I was taking Aleve which helped some but bothered my stomach, so I stopped. Going back to ballet stretches helped. You could try stretching your upper torso (arm over head, bend from the waist to one side, hold for 15 seconds or more if you can, then do the other side in other direction -- repeat). Have spent a lifetme with ballet aches and pains and know of what I speak.
