Them Winterz Doldrums

So it is Febrary and the winter is bout half over now, and we have had so many snow storms. We are gonna get a few more inches tomorrow and them some on the cold cold (4F for a high Saturday) weekend. Everything is ice. The sidewalks which were shubbled but the melt snow froze and there is two inches of ice across parts of the front walks. My daDDy he keeps trying to get it clear but the ice melter dont do it. He is gonna go buy more tomorrow. The alleys are solid ice wif tracks where the cars have run that are deep ruts of ice. It is dangerous driving them but he has to park back there.

He has hurt hiz back and ribs shubbling the snow, so he isn't gonna do it anymore. If snow covers the walks he will use salt, etc. and try to hire someone to shubble it. His ribs are real damaged. He thinks it is gonna be a long time healing his right side again. He can only sleep about a half hour at a time before they spasm.

Last nite he got about three hours sleep. The homies worry about him.He grunts and moans and can only clear the litter every other day.

But he is painting when he can feel good enough. That's a good thing.

I hope you can tolerate naproxen sodium because it does help as do the
epsom salt soaks that Teal told you about. Take comfort in the fact
that spring WILL come!

Hope things get better - maybe when spring comes. We are in the banana belt here lately.

Take hot bath with epsom salts (drug store should have) -- won't solve whole problem but will help. I was taking Aleve which helped some but bothered my stomach, so I stopped. Going back to ballet stretches helped. You could try stretching your upper torso (arm over head, bend from the waist to one side, hold for 15 seconds or more if you can, then do the other side in other direction -- repeat). Have spent a lifetme with ballet aches and pains and know of what I speak.
