We lost our senior member of the Homie Klan last Friday, August 3rd, Doobie was eleven. He was the second Ohio kitty who came in from our porch, the first one after Hobbes. He was a good kitty, one of our all black Ninjas, although he sported a tiny white bow tie on his chest. We fought a year for him.He presented at the vet a year ago with a mass in his chest. About every two months we had an X-ray and the vets used needles to drain fluids from his lungs. About mid July he began to weaken and we knew the game was up. We have a friend who helped us with all the vet and hospital costs, and we thank Helen dearly for it. We miss our Doobie, but he is pain free and running after flutterbyes with Hobbes, Bunjii, Satchel, Rosie and Hobster at the Rainbow Bridge.
