So sorry to hear about the trees. I felt badly when Charley hit our area back in 2004 and destroyed almost every tree on the island. We are having exceptionally mild February -- climate change catching up.
We are having unseasonably warm weather, in the high 70s and 80s. Normally, it would be 60s and lower at night. Glad you are enjoying the dogs. I told Ed I'd like not to have to wait for the holidays to see Buster and maybe we could invite ourselves over to Jean's on a weekend so I could hug him.
Different strokes for different folks. The pop music I liked stopped when Elvis Presley and the Beatles took over. Since then it has been, in my view, downhill all the way, including the whispy voiced ingenue songwriters that supposedly intelligent reviewers fall all over. Get a voice, I'm thinking. I'm sticking to classical music. It never, ever fails me.
Latest news is that Washington State has successfully stopped the ban for now. jjoohhnn is wrong about able-bodied males. Many Muslims with valid visas were refused re-entry -- they are students studying here so as to be able to go back and use their smarts to help their countries.
Subscribe to Bipartisanreport.com for breaking daily news about Trump's missteps. There is a rogue WH staffer with a twitter account who is leaking behind-the-scenes meltdowns and fascist plans. Spread it around.
I am tempted to make this because it sounds easy and then I probably would wan tto eat it, which would interfere with my diet, and so I don't know if I will do it. Also, Ed would probably eat all of it before I had a chance to get some anyway, and he is diabetic. You have introduced a dilemma into my household. Thank you. xx, T
Since my parents were born in Greece, I am unfamiliar with early customs for weddings in the U.S. It looks like I was spared. I did hear about "bundling" though, where courting couples were allowed to spend the night together but each swathed in bed clothes with no freedom of movement.
I'm the only one who sneaks stuff out in the car to put in someone else's dumpster. Don't tell Ed.
I think there may be some small towns that still enjoy these pleasures. Even in the big city, we had small town pleasures. In Chicago on a hot summer night, they opened the fire hydrants and the kids played in the water pouring out. I thought that was Heaven. When I look back, though, I am amazed my mom let me out without a leash. There were perverts around, and derelicts. But I got to recognize the dangerous ones. It was a different kind of education than what got in other places. When I look up the old streets on Google, they're all gone, replaced by ugly concrete updates.
That other garage is so neat. You should see ours: looks like a junk yard. Love the snow. Miss the snow. I know, I'm weird.
animals who are adopted from shelters need extra attention. Make no mistake, they are traumatized. Our Brunswick was dumped at the shelter and got pneumonia and a volunteer took him home. When she had nursed him back to health, she took him back to the shelter. Can you imagine his shock to find himself back there? It took him a while to trust us. It was worth the wait. I don't get over losing my animals. I am still grieving.
So sorry you had such a bad start and couldn't even find solace in your church. I use Resolve pet stain remover on my carpets. It's pretty good. Cats, as you must know, move off the tile and on to the carpet when they feel sick. It's a given. Sorry Jose is sick. Hope it's nothing.
They look happy.
I haven't had a tree since I left the family home in Chicago in 1955. Jay wsn't religious, although we did send cards. Our lifestyle (we lived in an electronics lab) didn't lend itself to owning a tree, or animals for that matter. Jay said they'd get electrocuted. Who could argue? And Ed is Jewish. And I'm not religious. BUt I did like the tree part and all the rest of it. I liked that the season made the best people want to be good to each other.
It's a beast feast! Your kitties should have a great time. You too.
