Hello children. I feel totally able to call you that because I am going to be 91 in two weeks. I know, it’s a bummer but way better than the alternative. The good news is I still look like my avatar and still do ballet work-outs.
I am so happy to have Sol back with us. She injured her shoulder moving a patient, and is working a short shift 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. I can’t keep track of her schedule, but when I get up around 7:30, if the dishwasher has been emptied, I know she is gone. She is happy to be here but is “dating†her boyfriend with whom, she says, she is able to share a lot except when he threw her out in a drunken rage, threatened to put her cats out at the curb, and accused her of cheating on him when she was working late. Well, he’s being Mr. Best Friend now, helping her with her studies to go to the next level of her nursing degree
She cleaned out our spare bedroom, removed the twin beds in there (they are in the garage) and put in a brass queen bed (quite nice actually). Sasha and Monet (her cats) flake out on the windowsill and occasionally come out and roam the living room. She told me that, although she and Wrede (not Reed, not Reid, but Wrede???) get along super well when he isn’t being crazy, but she can’t live with him because she doesn’t want to do “wifeâ€. And, of course, she has work, she is studying for her next nursing degree, and she would like to see a girlfriend now and then without having to pass a third degree when she gets home.
She swims in our pool after work. I don’t join her because Ed calls on me a lot and I can’t hear him if I’m in the pool. She is very helpful with Ed when she isn’t working. She will drive him to doctor’s appointments if she doesn’t have to go to the hospital. In times past, Sol and I would watch a movie on her TV in her bedroom. I used to choose old movies that she had never seen. She was absolutely thrilled with The Wizard of Oz. (Reminder: She is from Lithuania.)
I’ve run on, but know you all are forgiving.
xx, Teal
Hugs heart smiles, Stella
