Need Photo Help

My techie friend showed me how to reduce the pixels and I went into the Write a Post section and clicked on add an image, and successfully uploaded the photo of my car. I got the picture of the car and the data below it. I couldn't copy the data. The program would only highlight a word or two at the beginning of the lines. I right-clicked and copied the link. I reopened the Write A Post section and pasted in the link, but I don't think all the data was there. Then saved the post, but what appeared on the saved post was the truncated data, not the photo.

The uploaded page, complete with photo and data, would not allow me to copy just the data. In any case, there was no menu item that directed me back to the post section so I could paste it in.

As I scrolled around, the entire process would disappear and I'd have to start from scratch.

Furthermore, Nadine, my techie friend, couldn't figure it out either and when she is stumped, you know something is screwed up.

Any help would be appreciated.

I find this new, "improved" photo function not improved. I used to be able to add photos. But now, there is no way to get there from here.

xx, Teal

You have to have two windows open at one time, and your computer needs to be set up with the little bar of icons representing active applications either at the bottom of the screen or on the side aka 'the dock.' One is the window where you are writing a post. You click on "Add a photo" and it opens a new window. You bring up your photo and right-click to get a popup menu that lets you copy the HTML code (first line). Now, you click the Firefox icon in the dock to bring up that other window where you are writing your post. Right-click to paste. I'll log in as Traveltales and try to post a tutorial with pictures.

The Next Step is to paste the HTML link into your post:

The whole string of code selected for me every time regardless of right-click or left-click. Next: copy that and paste it into the post you are editing. I use ctrl-c to copy and ctrl-v to paste, but if you forget those letters, when you right click, a menu pops up that has Copy as one of the options. And then you right-click on your post and the menu pops up with the option to Paste. You have to switch between the two windows.

Laura, after the photo is successfully uploaded, it appears above three strings of stuff. I can't copy -- repeat, none of them copy. There are NO menu items that I can click to get back to the posting page. So even if I successfully copied these lines, I would have NOWHERE to go with them. When I try to get back to the posting page, it is a NEW page and wants to know if I want to upload a photo.

I just tested in Firefox 25.0.1 and had no problems selecting (and pasting) the code. I also tried it on Chrome as well without a problem. Do you have any extensions (or add-ons) in Firefox?

also, I have not changed (add-ons) or taken on any extensions to Firefox. I am the non-techie, I don't get fancy. I use Firefox as is.

What browser and version are you using?

When the photo uploads, I get the photo itself, plus three lines of code. What is supposed to happen next? How do I get it into my post? No menu items to click on, no way back to the posting page. Just the page with no more info. So when you say you are having no trouble, what are you doing? What are you clicking on? What am I missing. My Ed checked it out too and couldn't figure it out. In other words what am I not doing "next"?
