Anyway, here it is. I used file folder cardboard and when it was all assembled, I painted it with a magic marker and drew a face. Otherwise, it just looked like a robot.

I started with the torso, the largest part, and on the third try I had something acceptable. I almost decided that was enough and would just hand that in and explain that it was a quadruple amputee and also had been beheaded. What may not be clear in the photo is that this is made up of 3 3-dimensional boxes held together by string (I used a braided thread because I wanted it to be pretty) threaded through each. The idea was that the student (moi) could get an idea of the relationship between the main body parts. Genitalia not included.
Because I did this instead of living, I did not do other assignments also requested. Actually this was a good choice because it was the most foreign to me and the most challenging. The other stuff (memory sketches)I had done in the distant past and can do again. I'll tackle those next week. I tried to crop it in Picasa and the choices were rigid -- no manual options as you have in Kodak. I couldn't get rid of Nadine's paperwork to the left. She was kind enough to take this digital photo and E mail it to me.
I am grateful that the weather cooperated. We are currently experiencing a monsoon that has been going on since late last night, and I am half expecting the house to float out into Charlotte Harbor. So I was trapped in the house and Ed went to his volunteer afternoon at the Chamber of Commerce and that also helped.
Let's hear it for Nadine: Yay.
