I’m still learning how to subscribe to free stuff on iTunes and sync them on to my iPod so today I clicked on comedy audios and one of them was the Christian Comedy podcast. So, I’m thinking, how does that work? God and the Devil and St. Peter walk into a bar … Anybody got a finish? I have several, none of them worthy.

Anyway, as I was recovering from my procedure and the effects of the sedatives I got, I developed a severe runny nose and started sneezing and two days later, I am not quite over it. Ed, the dear boy, went out and got an antihistamine for me that does not interfere with my thyroid medication (most of them do – the answer is the one that sufferers from high blood pressure take, so he got Coricidin HBP). I am more than pleased to know there is an antihistamine I can use because I have been avoiding them for years. My nose feels less like an onion now.

After resting, I joined Ed in a trip to the library and then we went to Winn Dixie who were having a sale on standing rib roasts and Ed said to please get one so I did and I made it last night and we’ll be having it tonight too. It was delicious. Ed said we should go back and get two more and freeze them because they were a deal and so very good. So when he gets back from his volunteer afternoon at the Chamber of Commerce (where nothing happens, he keeps saying,and he tells tourists if they are looking for excitement, they are out of luck) we will go back to the store and get more.

When tourists ask Ed what the name of our community means – it is an Indian word -- he makes up various meanings, none of them flattering, all out of his fecund imagination. He is also practicing his evil grin. Mr. Charm. And you wonder what drew me to him.
