A Grinch in the White House?

I've not been following the political news per se, but it's hard to ignore=-it's everywhere.
I saw Ron Paul on Leno's show, and he looked like a white haired little gnome. Smart man, good ideas, but he's too old.
Ron Paul--Too old for the call.

Rick Perry--His brain's too airy.
Is there treatment for ADHD?

Michelle Bachman--Michelle who?

Herman Cain--A "player," a serial seducer who thinks he's Barry White. Bye, Hermie.
Herman Cain, a royal pain.

Mitt Romney--He's Mormon--Need I say more?

Newt Gingrich--Unreliable,untrustworthy, opportunistic lightweight. If president, he'd finish driving this country into a ditch.
Gingrich, a "Grinch" in the White House? No No No No.

Obama: The Republicans are handing Obama another term by running candidates like the above.
Bringing most of the troops home was nothing but a publicity coup for him. He's been dealt a bad hand of cards, but Obama killing Osama was a clever move too.
Term number two--for Obama it's true.

What? Is there a presidential race going on? (I'm ignoring it.)

Hi sol; I have essentially stopped watching the news because I am sick of the politics--YUK!

I support President Obama.
The alternatives are appalling and unthinkable. I especially support canning the GOP bozos in the House.

Hi marta; the GOP is bursting at the seams with these incredible incompetents..!

Hi fredo; I keep thinking surely some competent person will rise through the GOP ranks that won't be an embarrassment, but looks like that ain't gonna happen.

Ah.. you're a poet and I didn't know it... I always say when the subject comes up that Ron Paul should have been grooming a successor to run in '16. Geez, the thought McCain was too old....
comment by jjoohhnn on Dec 23, 2011 1:14 PM ()
Hi jj; I liked Ron Paul's ideas, but the stress and pressures of being president would bump him off or send him into Alzheimer's or something. We already had Reagan going senile and Nancy playing president behind the scenes--that was enough of old dudes running the country.

The 2011 Repub debates are better than the Comedy Channel. I'm going to miss them next year after they lose the election.

Hi jondude--!

It is indeed a distressing bunch of candidates. I have gotten two of those
cozy recorded calls from Gingrich...he must be trying awfully hard. I am
hoping Obama gets his second term.

Hi jeri; You know I meant candidates-not canidates!
reply by susil on Dec 27, 2011 10:26 PM ()
Hi jeri; I'm feeling slighted () Haven't gotten any calls from canidates--thank goodness.

Nice rhymes, Sue. I keep thinking the Republicans are going to pull some ringer out of their sleeve at the last minute and all the current bunch are just for entertainment.

Hi; Great comedy act; I try not to watch the clowns tho.
reply by susil on Dec 27, 2011 10:29 PM ()
Frankly, I'm desperately hoping so. None of them inspire me in the least. However, I STILL won't vote for President Obama.
