My daughter Cee was released from the hospital this afternoon (Tuesday.) Even thought she was running a fever of 103 degrees just 24 hours ago. The surgeon had to I&D the cyst twice. My baby (it doesn't matter how old they get, she's still my baby) is back home in an apartment her sister, my daughter Zee, cleaned for her and had things all ready for her.
As a nurse, I know things could have been worse, but as it is, Cee waited so long to seek medical treatment she had bacteremia and septic shock. She's not out of the woods yet, and is very weak.
After Cee was released, Zee took the nurses a bouquet of flowers and a big box of doughnuts to the nurses station in thanks. Those nurses were terrific; top notch, the best! Nurses never get the appreciation they deserve. I'm mailing them a thank you card.
This morning I went to first rehab session, and am hoping I get more feeling back in my right hand. That's the hand I write checks with and wipe my butt with--gotta have that hand as functional as possible! Bye y'all, susil
