Here I am in a hotel room off I-5 near Patterson. This is where I'll be staying the next few nights. The days will be dull if everything goes according to plan if not, then there might be moments of terror.
Outside it smells a bit like a ranch, which isn't bad, just a bit of sweet, manure smell.
The bulk of today was supposed to be preparing for the next trip, but the "boss" has too many other things of her to do, so she didn't have much time to work with me on packing the equipment, so it's deferred, again, to Fri when I return from this trip.
In the morning I was verifying the waypoints on the GPS receiver and learned that some of the buttons, which had been intermittently working, are rarely working now. Oops. We need a replacement for that by Fri. They will work it out while I'm gone. Preparing the new one will be just another task for Fri.
See how boring it is when I write about work?
Kitty's school is closed today and tomorrow, which is another problem with me being on travel. I should be home, as in at home, doing day care, but instead she has to go to work with Dolly, which is apparently okay with her office occasionally.
I stopped all my mybloggers subscriptions today. I won't have time to read many and the notifications are going to clog up my email inbox, so I'll have to catch up later.
At least they have wireless in the rooms.
Actually, for someone who is working and away and all that, you're beating the pants off of me in the post department! I can barely keep up!
