I skipped Kempo class yesterday because my wrist is still a bit sore, I came home from work late, and had to, um, take care of Mr Gopher. The bait hasn't worked, so I put out the trap again. I dug out one of his tunnels and put it in deep the evening before. Some time during the day yesterday, he tripped it. It's sad to kill him, but he was getting to be more and more of a pest as he moved across the lawn.
Today at work, we were outside most of the day. It was the hottest day of the week so far, about 80d F.
It was also a short day at Kitty's school due to teacher meetings, so Dolly took her to a pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay in the afternoon. They stopped at the bakery there, which included buying a cookie for me too.

This is what the crescent cookie looked like when it got to me. Usually the cookies from there are symmetrical crescents. They bought a defective one or a little mouse nibbled on it ;-)
I wrote before about how my aunt is coming out to visit my sister. I called her home number yesterday and asked her to call me. I don't have a cell number for her, but I'm thinking she will check her home messages or her husband will pass my message along.
Meanwhile, I also wrote an email to my other aunt (her sister) about passing the letter to my mother to her. She wrote back that it would be quicker to send it directly with no response about my question of whether my mother would get it if I sent it directly to her. I know they are aware of the controlling relationship my parents have. She also mentioned stuff about Halloween, so I wrote back some stuff. This evening there was another reply from her. This time she replied questioningly if I thought my mother wouldn't get it and added that she thinks she doesn't get the emails they send to her. That was the point of my original email and I know he filters her email and mail, or has in the past. Oh well. I would have mailed it, directly to my mother, today, but didn't have time to deal with it before work this morning.
Time to put the chickens in the coop. Bauk, bauk.
